It was a share of spoils for Clarecastle/Ballyea and Clooney-Quin in the second round of the Intermediate Championship yesterday evening in Clarecastle. Clarecastle/Ballyea lead at the break by two points with the half time score 1-8 to 0-9. Doireann Murphy was in top form scoring 1-6 in the first half, along with a brace of points coming from Hannah Mai Neylon and Ria Flanagan.

Despite Clooney-Quin notching up 10 points in the second half, it was Clarecastle/Ballyea better eye for goals from Emma O'Donoghue and Doireann Murphy that helped to level the tie.
