A fantastic win for our U14 boys at home last night as they were crowned Academy Shield champions after a cracking game against Whitegate under the lights.
It was a really close contest between two well-matched sides, with Whitegate taking a 2 point lead into half time.
The second half was tight, with both teams battling it out right to the very end. Then, with just seconds left on the clock, the Magpies found the goal they needed, seeing them win the game by 5 points and lift the Academy Shield. 🏆
A big thank you to the @whitegategaa players, management and supporters for travelling to us and giving us such a great game.
Thanks also to Eric, Kieran, Blaise, Adam and Gerry for their time, support and encouragement.
And we do it all again on Sunday the 18th when we take on Whitegate once more in the B Championship Final in An Geata Bán.
Well done again to the boys, Academy Shield champions! 🖤🤍
