Clarecastle booked their place in the U15B Hurling Championship semi-final with an excellent performance this evening against Crusheen/Tubber in Clarecastle.

The Magpies made a blistering start with early scores from Kiernan Sheridan and Oisín Plunkett putting them 1-1 to 0-0 ahead inside four minutes. Ryan Casey and Diarmuid Carmody added further scores and a second Clarecastle goal, this time from Casey which saw them stretch their lead to eight points by the sixth minute.

Despite a fightback from Crusheen/Tubber who found the net twice in the first half, Clarecastle maintained control.  Sheridan added his second goal and Casey was on hand again before the break to push Clarecastle into a strong 4-6 to 2-1 lead at half-time.

The second half saw more of the same, with Clarecastle continuing to dominate.  Ryan Casey added a free early on before Cian Hickey fired home their fifth goal to put the team well in front. Further points from Paddy Tuohy and Oisín Plunkett kept the scoreboard ticking over.

Crusheen/Tubber managed a third goal late on but Clarecastle responded with an excellent finish by another point from Ryan Casey to seal a 5-11 to 3-4 victory.

It was a superb all round team performance and they now march on to meet Broadford-Bodyke in the semi-final. 🏁🏁
