Clarecastle v Éire Óg
Hard luck to our girls in the U13B Camogie County Final this afternoon having made a strong start with an early free converted by Holly Farmer in the 6th minute.
Just two minutes later, Aoife Vaughan found the back of the net to give Clarecastle an early cushion. Éire Óg responded with their first score in the 17th minute with a pointed free as Clarecastle maintained control.
Before the break, Holly Farmer added another point from play leaving the score 1-2 to 0-1 in favour of Clarecastle at the interval.
Clarecastle added to their tally just two minutes into the second half with another pointed free from Holly Farmer. However, this would prove to be their only score of the half, as Éire Óg began to build momentum.
Éire Óg struck for a goal at the 18th minute mark, reducing the gap to just two points.
Despite determined defending from Ailbhe Concannon, Holly Farmer, Faye Tuohy, Anna Fitzpatrick, Sinead Hennessy and Ciara Moran, Éire Óg found the net for the second time at the 24th minutes and quickly followed with a third goal just two minutes later, completing a quick comeback to earn a victory. A tough result for the girls after a strong opening, but a great effort all around.
