All at Clarecastle GAA are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Liam (Danno) Moloney. The Moloney name has long been synonymous with a love of sport in our village, and Liam was no exception.
He was always happy to engage in a conversation, whether it was about the weather, current events, fishing, coursing, the GAA, or Man United.
A talented goalkeeper, Liam stood between the posts when we won the Junior Football Championship in 1982 and the Intermediate Football Championship in 1984.
A friend to many, his kind and gentle matter will be greatly missed throughout our village and beyond.
We extend our heartfelt sympathies to Liam’s sons Shane, Aaron, and Ethan; their mother Lill; his daughter-in-law Nia; and his extended family and friends.
