Well done to the Junior Footballers who qualified for the semi-final of the Junior A Championship this afternoon in Shannon thanks to a 0-10 to 1-5 victory over Parteen/Meelick in Shannon.

The Magpies took a 0-5 to 0-1 lead at the half time interval with points through Josh Brack (0-3f) and Colin Brigdale (0-2f).

Parteen/Meelick fought back on the restart scoring 0-3 without reply. Three pointed frees for the Magpies kept them in front despite a late goal from the opposition. Rory O’Connell pointed the last score of the game to ensure that Clarecastle eased into the last four.
